Concrete Oxide Pigments Manufacturer

In the construction industry, iron oxide is the most commonly used pigment for the production of colored and/or decorative concrete, and for good reason; iron oxide not only produces a range of color possibilities in earth tones, but also offers many other advantages. Iron oxide granulation adds further advantages.

Chengyu's iron oxide pigments for concrete with excellent performance are very popular in the market. A full range of colors is available for customers to choose from according to their requirements. Please see more information on the details page or ask us for a quote today.

Properties of iron oxide pigments for building materials industry

Beautiful and durable color.
High coloring power, suitable particle fineness and particle structure, good dispersion.
Resistant to strong sunlight and climate change, as well as to alkali and mortar.
High stability under certain temperature.
Will not damage the performance of cement itself.

Application of iron oxide pigment in concrete

Nowadays, in the building materials industry, colored cement bricks, cement tiles, wall tiles, floor tiles, blocks, concrete pavements and other colored cement pavements have been widely used. Iron oxide pigment for concrete is suitable for coloring the following kinds of building structures and cement parts:

Various indoor and outdoor colored concrete surfaces and building surfaces, such as walls, floors, floor tiles, roof tiles, panels, gutters, blocks, towers, colored mortars, colored tiles, ridge tiles.
Terrazzo and mosaic tiles for decorating indoor and outdoor walls, floors, staircases, porches, passageways, etc. ......
Artificial stone, such as artificial marble, artificial gray stone, etc.
Asbestos cement for decorating wall panels, floor tiles, roof tiles, window sills and stairs.
Color dry mortar series, such as color enhancer, color caulk, color spray mortar, color compression molded flooring, self-leveling cement for wear-resistant flooring.
Color pastes series, such as water-based color pastes for commercial solidification or architectural coatings, oil-based color pastes for epoxy flooring or polyurethane floor coatings.
Iron oxide pigment can be added into cement concrete to form colored cement concrete, which can still guarantee the original coloring degree after long-term use.
Iron oxide pigments for concrete are widely used in the building materials industry because of their excellent coloring and application properties, low price, UV absorption and protection of the substrate from degradation in the application system.

How to use iron oxide pigment in concrete

The amount of iron oxide pigment in concrete products is limited to 1% to 10%. Exceeding the upper limit will reduce the mechanical strength of the products. Generally 5%~8% is appropriate.
Iron oxide pigment does not contain two compounds, lead oxide and zinc oxide, which will affect the setting time and strength.
Sometimes, concrete products need to be cured at temperatures and pressures above 200°C. Therefore, black iron oxide and brown iron oxide, which can be converted to red iron oxide at 180°C, must be heat stabilized.
Cement concrete pavement mixed with iron oxide pigment should not be too thick at one time. Generally not more than 20cm. too thick will cause the waste of iron oxide pigment for concrete, which is not economical and cannot guarantee the quality of concrete itself.
